The CTC offer LAMDA in Acting for children and young adults aged 8-18 years and the sessions include:
Vocal warm-ups | Improvisation | Devising | Character development | Rehearsing exam and festival material
The sessions are tailored to each individual student and are designed to increase confidence in the physicality of speech and language along with improving communication and conversational skills. Students will also explore a variety of texts written by highly regarded playwrights, authors and poets; ideal for those aspiring performers!
All students who take LAMDA examinations will receive a certificate and a written report explaining their grade and performance. Many of our students also enter local festivals for more performance experience.
Sessions are currently held on Monday evenings 4 – 9pm and are taught by Madeleine Mears.
